Hiking on the Na Pali coast…..
Yesterday my family and our friends went hiking on the Na Pali coast. The Na Pali coast was created by volcanic lava flow for over millions of years and It formed beautiful scenery. The hike was about 2 miles long, but we only made it up to a mile with us kids tagging along. The hike was very very dangerous because the mountain was 1000 ft tall and if you fell off you would plop into the ocean ( even though I wouldnt mind a swim) and there were lots of jagged rocks but still it is a spectacular view and was so fun.
Snorkling in Kauai, Hawaii….
Over the past few days me and my family have been snorkilng a lot on our vacation.Sometimes you see a lot of cool stuff but it depends on the weather. For example if it is windy outside then you have a pretty slim chance of seeing creatures and fish because when its windy the waves are HUGE and then the water gets murky and you can’t really see much, but other days when its sunny out and its not cloudy the water is clear and you see a lot more. The types of fish that we usually see are butterfly fish, moorish idols, turtles, coral and we see lots off monk seals bathing in the sun light.Around the seals are protective ropes because they are endangered species and are protected by the state of Hawaii.Today we are going snorkling to Tunnels beach ( along the north shore) where Bethany Hamilton got bit by a shark.( I am kind of scared to go though)
If I lived in Hawaii I would……
If I lived in Hawaii I would live on the beach! My reasons for that is because in Hawaii you can snorkle off the beach( I would know that from expirience) and I love snorkling.Another reason is because you can watch a BEATIFUL sunset and the weather is not to hot but not to cold and there is a wonderful brezze that smells of sunscreen and sea salt. The sand is a peachy pink colour and is soooooo soft.I would study all the marine life and maybe become a marinebiolegest!
5A’s terry fox donations
I think the reason that the donations around the 27th and 28th shot up was because the oppurtunity to donate had just started and throughout the week the donations got higher. I think the reason it droped all the way to 5$ on the 5th of october was because maybe people in there class were buying things for halloween costumes and couldnt donate. And then it shot up AGAIN! this time all the way to 60$ the reason i think that happen because are school was offering a movie and a pizza party and that made the donations go up for the rest of the week.
